Description

Arithmetic mean

Sum of observation divided by number of observations; Mean = ∑ x/n

Geometric mean

Calculated using first the logarithm of the values, then the arithmetic mean of the logarithm and finally the antilog of the calculated arithmetic mean.

Median

The central value of a series  of the observations arranged in order of magnitude. Unlike the mean, it is NOT sensitive to extreme values in a series.

Mode

The most frequently observed value in series
